Complete Theory & Practical Training

Work through your self-paced online theory modules at your own pace — most students finish within 2–4 weeks while working full time. Once theory is done, attend a single full-day practical session at Daikin's world-class HQ facility and put your skills to work on live VRV systems.

Get Certified by Daikin

Pass your assessments and receive two credentials: a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment (UEERA0097) issued by Alpha Technical Training, plus a Daikin-certified completion letter. You're now qualified to install, commission, and fault-find VRV systems — and charge accordingly.

Do I need to hold my RAC01 licence befoe I can enrol?

Yes. The Daikin VRV Short Course is designed for technicians who already hold a valid RAC01 (Full Refrigerant Handling Licence). If you don't have it yet, you'll need to complete the Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration first — we can help you with that pathway too.

How long does this course take to complete?

The theory component is fully self-paced and typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on how much time you can commit each week. Once your theory is complete, you attend a single full-day practical session held at Daikin's HQ facility. Most students are fully certified within a month.

How much does Daikin VRV course cost?

The course fee is $1,200 AUD. This covers your full theory access, assessment support, and the practical day at Daikin HQ. Payment is made at the time of enrolment via a secure link sent by your Student Consultant. Speak to us if your employer is covering the cost — we can assist with invoicing.

Where is the practical day held, and do i need to travel?

The hands-on practical is held at Daikin Australia's world-class training facility. If you're interstate, you'll need to arrange travel and accommodation for that one day. It's worth it — you'll be working on live VRV equipment in a purpose-built environment that no classroom can replicate.

What qualification do I receive when I finish?

You receive two things: a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment for UEERA0097 issued by Alpha Technical Training (RTO 45289), and a Daikin-certified completion letter. Together, these are recognised across the industry and demonstrate you're qualified to design, install, commission, and fault-find VRV systems.

Can I study while I'm still working full-time?

Absolutely — that's how most of our students do it. The theory is delivered online through our LMS and is fully self-paced, so you study when it suits you: evenings, weekends, or between jobs. The only fixed commitment is the one-day practical session at Daikin HQ, which you can schedule once your theory is complete.

What visa types are accepted for enrolment?

We accept Australian citizens, permanent residents, and visa holders with full work and study rights — including Visa 482, 485, and 491 holders. Student visa holders are not eligible for this course.
